All the way to Paignton, Devon today to service and certificate an Eschmann SES Little Sister 5 autoclave.
Everything went relatively smoothly apart from a vacuum leak! Didn't get back into the Bristol area until 14:00 but that gave me just enough time to send flyers out to all the dental practices listed on Thomson Local in Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Berkshire, Carmarthenshire, Powys and Glamorgan advertising the website and next months Validation service offer.....

187 Miles!
All I had booked in today was a trip to Southmead Tattoo Studio in Bristol to mend their SES Little Sister 3 and I found myself clocking up 187miles in the car!
Got a call from Nigel Bannister at Dental Decontamination Ltd in Lytham to meet in Birmingham and swap a SAL Vacuum for a N Type Little Sister 5.
Whilst at the Tattoo Studio, the proprieter made inquiries about a new machine and I recommended the MOCOM Exacta S Vacuum Autoclave. The customer is interested in a finance deal that will cost between £84.00 + VAT and £120.00 + VAT, depending on the term.
I also visited a dentist in Cheltenham who has recently picked up one of the new modern SES machines from Eschmann. It was the 113B and the customer had no way of getting the cycle monitor fitted that he had ordered through DBG other than through Eschmann whose service contracts cost around £1500.00. I cannot recommend strongley enough that when buying an autoclave, new or pre-owned, you check out the service availability and cost!
Some manufacturers make it really difficult to have the most simple problems fixed.

Yesterday was my first day back after a long and enjoyable Christmas break. I did however, service a little sister 3 non vacuum during the holiday for David Harvey at Surgical Systems Ltd, but that was a social call as well as business.
Yesterdays work started bringing in responses to the flyers that I sent out over the festive period for validation services available in February.
I also quoted a vet for autoclave servicing in the Gloucestershire area and won the business covering a Newmwd Kronos, a Little Sister 3 Vacuum and a Little Sister 3 Non-Vacuum.
